چکیده مقاله:

Zinc cyanurate Zn۳(C۳N۳O۳)۲. ZnO which is represented as Zn۳Cy۲) was synthesized by precipitation method and introduced as thermal stabilizer for PVC by gravimetric analysis (TGA), Congo red test and color change test. The thermal stability of PVC was significantly increased by adding Zn۳Cy۲. Compared to zinc stearate (ZnSt۲), it has been observed that Zn۳Cy۲ can delay the burning of zinc in PVC. This is attributed to the high ability of cyanurate anions in Zn۳Cy۲ to absorb the hydrogen chloride released during the destruction of PVC. In addition, the mixture of Zn۳Cy۲ with calcium stearate in different mass ratios greatly improves the thermal stability of PVC. Excellent synergism can be observed when the CaSt۲/Zn۳Cy۲ combination is used with some commercial auxiliary stabilizers. The addition of dibenzoyl methane (DBM) provides a significant increase in initial color for PVC containing CaSt۲/Zn۳Cy۲, while epoxidized soybean oil can improve both initial color and long-term stability.
