چکیده

Background and aim: The COVID-۱۹ epidemic is one of the worst public health crises of the last century, which has not only dramatically changed the way people live, but also the way they die. In this regard, the present study is a review of Cultural position in palliative care by nurses during covid-۱۹ pandemic.Materials and method: In this study, which was conducted as a narrative review, using keywords related to Cultural position in palliative care during covid-۱۹ pandemic, studies were conducted in Persian or English and in full text, which were published. Searched in reputable scientific databases, SID, Magiran, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Only original research articles and review articles were included in the study and articles that were not in line with the purpose of the research were excluded from the study. Of the ۳۲ articles searched, five articles related to Cultural position in palliative care were selected.Results: The present study investigated the findings related Cultural position in palliative care by nurses during covid-۱۹ pandemic. The information in this review study was extracted from articles and letter to editor reports.Conclusion: Palliative and hospice care is also needed for COVID-۱۹ patients. Having a cultural awareness of a patient’s cultural beliefs, practices, or preferences enables nurses to provide better comprehensive holistic compassionate palliative care for patients. In order to provide the best possible care to patients and families in end-of-life situations, it is important to understand their cultural constructs as well as their individual preferences. It is also important for each caregiver to realize that we each bring our own set of biases to these discussions based on our cultural and religious background and personal experiences.
