چکیده مقاله:

Background: Infertility is a global problem. It´s a psychologicalcrisis for a couple, spouse and their families. Due to the positiveeffects of spiritual intelligence on positive adaptation andgrowth of the individual under difficult circums tances, the aimof this s tudy was determining the relationship between spiritualintelligence and resilience in infertile couples in Iran.Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional s tudy was performedin ۲۰۲۰ on ۱۶۲ infertile couples in Isfahan, Iran. Datawere collected by convenience sampling method from infertilecouples who referred to Moshtagh infertility center and ShahidBeheshti Hospital Infertility Center in Isfahan by ques tionnaireincludes: demographic and fertility characteris tics, spiritual intelligenceand resilience as self-reported. King’s Spiritual IntelligenceSelf-Report Inventory (SISRI) and Connor-DavidsonResilience Scale (CD-RISC) was used to collect research data.Analyze the data was performed using descriptive s tatis ticalmethods. Also, in order to inves tigate the relationship betweenspiritual intelligence and resilience score, inferential s tatis ticalmethods of Pearson correlation coefficient and linear regressionwere used by ۱۸-SPSS software. A P-value of less than ۰.۰۵was considered significant. Results: Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there was asignificant Positive direct relationship between resilience scorewith total spiritual intelligence score(r=۰.۳۶), critical exis tentialthinking(r=۰.۶۰), Personal Meaning Production(r=۰.۳۸),transcendental awareness. (r=۰.۴۳) and conscious s tateexpansion(r=۰.۵۳) (P<۰.۰۰۱). The personal meaning production(t=۶.۳۸) and the Conscious S tate Expansion (t=۲.۱۵) weresignificant predictors of resilience scores. Conclusion: It seems that couples with a higher level of spiritualintelligence have better unders tanding of the problems andharms of primary infertility and will cope with it more efficiently. So, developing spiritual intelligence is effective for betterand more efficient adaptation to the consequences of infertilityand continued treatment.
