چکیده مقاله:
Background: Diabetes mellitus results from insulin resis tance. The disease is associated with sexual disorders that result from oxidative s tress, apoptosis in the reproductive axis. In thes tudy, the effects of secretions from mesenchymal s tem cellsand treated with caffeine on some reproductive aspects in malerats with diabetes were evaluated.Materials and Methods: ۳۲ male rats in the weight rangeof ۱۹۰ ± ۲۰ g were divided into healthy and diabetic controlgroups. Induction of diabetes by S treptozotocin /Nicotineamide method with a volume of ۰.۱ mM was performed oncefas ting at a dis tance of ۲۰ minutes. Each group was divided intothree subgroups: saline recipient, decaffeinated conditionedmedium and caffeine treated conditioned medium (۰.۵ mM, n =۵). Two rats were used to extract s tem cells. Intraperitoneal injectionof solutions was performed three times during the treatmentperiod (۴۲ days) at the rate of ۰.۱ ml. At the end of thetreatment, blood samples were taken to measure tes tos teroneconcentration and semen was sampled to assess sperm maturity;the weight of Vapidim tes tis was recorded after facilitation. Results: Diabetes significantly (P<۰.۰۵) decreased tes ticularand epididymal weight, sperm nucleus maturation and tes tosteroneconcentration. Treatment of diabetic rats with simple orcaffeinated conditioned medium significantly increased thesecases (P <۰.۰۵) compared with diabetic rats. The improvingeffects of caffeine conditioned medium in diabetic rats weremore and better than the effects of simple conditioned medium. Conclusion: Treatment of diabetic rats with conditioned mediumof simple or caffeinated mesenchymal s tem cells reducedreproductive disorders in male rats.
