چکیده مقاله:

Background: Sulpiride is used as an antagonis t of dopamineD۲ receptors and as a type of antipsychotic drug to controlsome types of mental illness such as anxiety, morbid s tress andschizophrenia. The aim of this s tudy was to evaluate the effectof this drug and its potential benefits or harms on CatSper۱ inthe tes tes of male rats.Materials and Methods: In this experimental s tudy, maleWis tar rats weighing ۱۹۰ ± ۱۰ were divided ۲۴ adult wererandomly divided into ۴ groups of ۶; Groups include salinecontrol, sulpiride control (۴mg / kg bw, ip), mental sulpirideand physical sulpiride. Induction of psychological or physicals tress by placing rats in insulated or conductive chambers ofelectricity (۰/۵Hz, v۴۰, ۲mA (adjacent) for ۶۰ minutes daily(twice per minute for ten seconds), respectively. After ۱۴ days, after dissecting the animals, the CatSper۱ gene was evaluatedin tes ticular tissueResults: The expression of CatSper۱ gene in the controlgroup of sulfrid was reduced compared to the control of saline(P˂۰.۰۵). In the group of physical sulpiride and mental sulpiride, there was a significant decrease compared to the control ofsulpiride (P˂۰.۰۵), but in the group of physical sulpiride andmental sulpiride, no significant difference was found (p˃۰/۰۵).CatSper۱ gene and tes ticular tissue damage were comparedwith the control group (P˂۰.۰۵).Conclusion: Drugs affect dopamine D۲ receptor function andmRNA expression, reducing CatSper۱ gene expression and testiculartissue damage. Sulpiride adminis tration exacerbated thecomplications
