چکیده مقاله:

Background: Happiness has significant roles in life of all people in different careers special stressful careers such as nursing .Depict the fact, burnout is very common among individuals in career stressful. Happiness is moderate the effect of burnout. Aim: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between work engagement demographic characteristics and happiness. Methods and participants: This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study with ۲۱۰ nurses as the subjects, working in a variety clinical setting in two medical science hospital In Esfahan, Iran. Data were collected with ۳ questionnaires: Oxford happiness inventory, Utrecht work engagement scale and demographic characteristics inventory. Results: Results of regression revealed that vigor, dedication and absorption were positive predictors of happiness and there was no significant relationship between demographic characteristics and happiness. Conclusions: The study provides additional support about relationship between burnout, demographic characteristics and happiness .It is believed that nurses have happy in workplace they gain more positive experiences from their work and subsequently a greater sense of well-being.
