Restrictions imposed by international sanctions against Iran in the oil and banking sectors and the effects of the outbreak of the Coronavirus have dramatically reduced the Iranian government's revenues. These conditions have led the Iranian government to move towards a resistance economy, which means identifying areas of pressure and trying to neutralize and control them. Given the Iranian government's approach to engaging with the world and preparing the ground for constructive dialogue, the West should take advantage of this opportunity and, while welcoming this new approach, halt the sanctions plan and engage and cooperate seriously with Operate the Islamic Republic of Iran using the existing capacities in the country to protect the environment. Otherwise, due to the complexity of the factors affecting the destruction of the environment, serious and irreparable damage to the environment of Iran is expected.
