Cognitive narratology is one of the systematic approaches in the last few decades, which, due to the achievements of linguistics and cognitive semantics, has played an effective role in explaining the nature and function of narrative texts. The purpose of this study is to examine cognitive and metacognitive narratology methods on fluency and conversational ability of the language learners of Safir Institute in Tehran. The research method is descriptive-analytical and comparative and the statistical population is all the language students of Safir Institute, which is based on a simple random sampling method of ۰۳ people in two experimental groups and were controlled and the results show that cognitive narratology had a significant effect on the students' conversational ability.
