چکیده

Role-play is an important technique in teaching speaking because it gives a chance to communicate in thevarious social backgrounds in different roles and to be creative and fluency describes a level of proficiency incommunication, which is the goal in all language classes. The present study investigates the effect of role-playing onspeaking skills with a special focus on fluency. This study extends to assess how to role-play can aid to improve speakingfluency. The role and status of role-playing and its advantages are also identified. The study reports the impact of roleplayingon speaking based on major elements: emotional, mental, adaptability and class dynamics. The results indicatean efficient teaching pattern is required to have an active and creative class and develop communicative skills amongEFL students.
