Assessing the Effects of Small Gas Turbines Expansionon Domestic Production by Using Bottom-Up Method

A proper method is requiredto assess the effects of distributedgeneration expansion policies on domesticproduction. In this paper, we proposebottom-up method to consider the effectsof energy planning or energy policies onDistributed Generation (DG) expansionwith special attention to small gas turbines.Indeed, the Distributed Generation (DG)expansion decision is analyzed based onIntegrated Resource Planning (IRP) andrequired Reference Energy Systems(RES). Aspects of macro-analysis,National Energy policies is planned basedon different options: supply/demandbalance, energy economic, available orindigene technologies, field demonstration,interactions between other energy carriersand resources, efficiency and etc. Theoutcome of the proposed method couldclearly indicate the effects of energypolicies. Therefore, bottom-up methodalso provides proper assessment signals toplanners to adjust their decisions.
