Potwar basin comprises of various hydrocarbon producing wells, yet failure of some wells causes a substantial loss to Exploration & Production companies. Potwar basin is showing miscellaneous framework with respect to progress ratio of the wells. In eastern Potwar, the discovery of Missa Keswal region took place in ۱۹۹۱. OGDCL drilled four wells out of which three wells are producing hydrocarbons while the fourth well left abandoned. Our goal is to understand and identify the subsurface structure of Missa Keswal with the help of ۵ seismic lines out of which ۲ are the dip lines. In this regard Kingdom suite ۸.۸ software is utilized to define the subsurface framework. Put three reflectors on the seismic section one is at level of Paleocene and the other two is at level of Eocene age. Results are depicting popup structures on the seismic section which is further confirmed by analysis of time structure maps. This popup anticlinal geometry may be caused by the compressional tectonic elements of this region as well as decollement layer in the Cambrian sequence. Popup structure of Missa Keswal is bounded by major thrust and back thrust. This structure is suitable for hydrocarbon accumulation, as if overlying Neogene clays and faulted surface provided with sealing mechanism, and the fractured carbonates rocks of Paleocene and Eocene act as reservoirs in the area while Patala shale and Salt Range Formation may act as source rock in this region.
