چکیده مقاله:
All human societies are influenced by gender patterns emanating from society. The aim of thisstudy is to investigate the effect of the women position in society based on satisfaction level of thekitchen design model in contemporary housing in Shiraz. The present study is descriptivecorrelational design study. The study populations were the women living in zones ۱, ۲ and ۷ ofShiraz city, by using Cochran's formula, the sample size of the study was ۳۹۰ people selected bycluster sampling. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire with Cronbach's alpha of۰.۷۸ and interviews were used. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test for twoindependent groups. Examining the current situation and expectations of women living in three,high, middle and low-income areas of Shiraz showed that, women level of satisfaction with thekitchen design pattern, due to different cultures, lifestyles, women's beliefs and differences in jobsand education levels in urban areas is not the same, and the user will behave differently whilefacing the same actions. The study results highlight the need to provide a variety of kitchen designpatterns with respect to changing the style and role of women in different urban areas in thearchitectural design process.
