چکیده مقاله:

The aim was to determine the effectiveness of life skills training on students' social adjustment. The present study was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest with a control group. The statistical population included all female students in the sixth grade of elementary school in Islamshahr in the academic year ۲۰۲۱-۲۰۲۲, ۳۰ of whom were selected by convenience sampling method and randomly divided into two groups (۱۵ in the experimental group and ۱۵ in the control group). The life skills training program was used for the experimental group, but the control group was on the waiting list. The training program consisted of eight ۹۰-minute sessions per week, one session per two months. The research instrument included the Bell Social Adjustment Questionnaire (۱۹۶۸). Data were analyzed using SPSS software version ۲۲ and univariate analysis of covariance. The results showed that life skills training was effective and increased students' social adjustment.
