intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems that can perceive some element of their environment and use this information to achieve a predefined goal. AI has been heralded as the next big wave in the computing revolution and touted as a transformative technology for many industries including health care. Radiology has often served as the gateway for medical technological advancements, and AI will likely be no different. There are a lot of aspects of AI in the field of Radiology and Medical imaging. For instance, AI can play an important role in scheduling and protocoling by determining the appropriateness of imaging introducing the best imaging modality, and predicting wait times or appointment delays. Moreover, AI could lead to minimizing artifacts, greater imaging volume which leads to a better interpretation, and most important of all, AI can dramatically lower radiation exposure which leads to patient safety and satisfaction. AI has also made a big wave in interpretation. We can have auto-populated reports which reduce the time the radiologist spends generating a report and also detection of the most incidental findings is possible with the help of AI. Furthermore, it is believed that AI is used in business aspects, especially in billing optimization. We present a brief overview of AI advancements that have driven recent interest, offer a review of the current literature, and examine the most likely ways that this technology will change radiology in the coming years
