The purpose of this study was to determinethe Prevalence of bacterial infections and antibiotic resistance in patients Coronavirus disease(COVID-۱۹).Methods : In this cross-sectional study, reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reactionwas performed to detect COVID-۱۹. sputum and tracheal aspirate samples were also collected andcultured on different media to support the growth of the bacteria. After incubation, formed colonieson the media were identified using Gram staining and other biochemical tests. Results : Of these ۱۵۰ patients with COVID-۱۹, a total of ۵۰ (۳۰%) had secondary bacterialinfections. The most common bacterial / fungal co-infections isolated by sputum and tracheaincluded Klebsiella pneumoniae , Staphylococcus epidermidis, Acinetobacter baumannii,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida spp. Conclusion : Bacterial coinfection is relatively rare in hospitalized COVID-۱۹ patients.
