چکیده

Background and Aim : Background: Paying attention to food hygiene and safety is a biologicalnecessity in preventing infectious and allergic diseases and also preserving the environment.Knowledge of the dangerous reactions to foodborne illness is essential to the development of alifestyle improvement. Students are an important element in the healthy population of the country.Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the general knowledge about food health and safety,improve and enhance the self-efficacy of lifestyle of students in educational centers of Kermanshahprovince as part of the target population of Iran.Methods : Methods: Using a descriptive-analytical questionnaire of questions in three sections, toassess the level of knowledge, attitude and practice of students in Kermanshah educational centersin two different genders and fields of study (N = ۴۰۰), about food health and safety as an essentialbiosafety approach was investigated. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version ۱۹ by onewayANOVA, Chi-square (X۲) and correlation coefficient test.Results : Results: The level of information of biological science students with ۷۶.۷%, ۸۳.۹% and۸۰.۳% respectively compared to non- biological science with ۵۸.۲۵%, ۷۴.۴% and ۷۶.۲۵% and inwomen with ۷۱.۱%, ۸۲.۸% and ۸۰.۶% compared to men with ۶۳.۸۵%, ۷۵.۵% and ۷۵.۹۵% had asignificant difference in knowledge, attitude and practice, respectively (P < ۰.۰۵).Conclusion : Conclusion: Knowledge of food health and related diseases is effective in the qualityof life of individuals and their families. There was a significant difference between biologicalscience students compared to non- biological science in both sexes. Therefore, holding trainingworkshops and determining courses in this field can be useful.
