چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Asthma is one of the most common non-communicable diseasescharacterized by reversible obstruction of airflow. It poses many problems for all age groups frominfancy to old age. Severe persistent asthma is a severe disease that is accompanied by persistentdaily and frequent nighttime symptoms. Various studies have shown that the occurrence of viralinfections is associated with the severity of asthma symptoms, so that its progression can beprevented by controlling viral agents. In this study, the severity of symptoms of severe persistentasthma with Haemophilus influenzae type A infection was investigated. Methods : ۳۱ patients with asthma with different degrees of disease were studied in this study.First, patients' sputum samples were taken. After purification, the DNA extraction kit wasperformed. The severity of Haemophilus infection was then assessed by the microbial panel kit byreal-time.Results : The results showed that in patients with asthma, the percentage of people withHaemophilus influenzae was ۷۷.۴% and in ۲۲.۶% of other asthma cases, Haemophilus influenzaevirus was not observed. The relationship between the severity of asthma, cough and shortness ofbreath with Haemophilus influenzae infection showed that with increasing asthma symptoms, theseverity of infection increases Therefore, the results of this study show that Haemophilusinfluenzae virus worsens asthma symptoms in patients. The relationship between asthmaseverities, ACT.Score, FEV.pre, FENO pre, ۰% Lym, % Mq, % Neu and %EO with Haemophilusinfluenzae type A infection was also studied. The results of this study showed that there was asignificant relationship between ACT.Score and Haemophilus influenzae type A.Conclusion : It is suggested that the effect of Haemophilus influenzae type A on the severity ofsymptoms of other lung diseases be studied.
