چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : Staphylococcus aureus is one of the principal causes of hospital infectionsand causes a wide range of infectious diseases. The purpose of this research is to study the healingeffects of ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Portulaca oleracea, Camellia sinensis and Stachyslavandulifolia with eucerin on burn infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus in mice. Methods : In this study, ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Portulaca oleracea, Camellia sinensis, and Stachys lavandulifolia were prepared in the laboratory. Then their MIC and MBC levels weredetermined by the broth dilution method. Burn wounds were created in the rats. After ۲۴ hours, the infection with Staphylococcus aureus was inoculated to the rats at a concentration of (۵×۱۰۵CFU/ml). After ۲۴ hours, the ointment was prepared based on the MBC concentration of ethanolicand acetonic extracts of mentioned plants per ۱ g of eucerin. Then it was used to treat burn woundsand infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Results : In the studies conducted on mice, it was found that the acetonic extracts of Portulacaoleracea, Camellia sinensis, and Stachys lavandulifolia, as well as the ethanolic extracts of Stachyslavandulifolia and Camellia sinensis, have antimicrobial and healing effects on burn woundscaused by Staphylococcus aureus. Meanwhile, the acetonic extracts of Portulaca oleracea andCamellia sinensis and the ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Stachys lavandulifolia have bettereffects than the ethanolic extract of Camellia sinensis. Also, the ethanolic extract of Portulacaoleracea had the lowest level of effectiveness. Bleeding and slow recovery rates were observed inthe burn site treated with the ethanolic extract of this plant. Conclusion : The results of the studies showed that the ethanolic and acetonic extracts of Stachyslavandulifolia and Camellia sinensis, and the acetonic extract of the Portulaca oleracea, have thehighest antimicrobial and healing effect on burn infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Therefore, these extracts can be used as an antimicrobial drug or burn ointment.
