Background and Aim : Brucellosis is the most common zoonotic infection and is an importantpublic health problem in Iran.The purpose of brucellosis treatment is to control the disease andprevent its complications and relapses. Currently, in uncomplicated brucellosis there are tworecommended antibiotic combinations Treatment for ۶ -۸ weeks.The first regimen is doxycycline۱۰۰ mg /BD plus intramuscular streptomycin ۱ g once daily or gentamicin ۵ mg/kg/ day . Thesecond regimen is doxycycline plus rifampin ۶۰۰ to ۹۰۰ mg/ once daily. However, in terms ofrecurrence and failure, the first regimen is superior to the second ,there are clinicians who favorthe use of the second combination because it is rather cheap, easy to use, and available .Combination regimen based on quinolones is also the second line of treatment. In children andpregnant women ( ۱۲-۳۶Months), trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole and rifampin for have beenrecommended. In complicated or treat diffilt cases a three-drug regimen is recommended for ۳ to۵ months. Finally, the possibility of relapse or treatment in all the above regimens should beconsidered in the patient and The patients should be followed clinically.Methods : -Results : -Conclusion : -
