چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer (BC) is the most diagnosed malignancy and theleading cause of cancer mortality among women. Circular RNAs(circRNAs) are new types of non-coding regulatory molecules, which have been linked to various illnesses, including cancer, indicating that these molecules should be investigated as functionalmoieties. This review examines the potential uses of circRNAs asbiomarkers and therapeutic targets and recent advancements in thefield of circRNAs linked with BC progression This review was conducted using keywords such as Breast Cancer, Acknowledgment / Contact informationBiomarker, Circular RNAs, Tumor suppressors, Oncogenes, diagnosis and prognosis markers in PubMed, Scopus, Medline,Science Direct, and Web of Science based on Cochrane HighlySensitive Search Strategy.Analyzing circRNA expression patterns in BC peripheral bloodrevealed the circRNA hsa-circ-۰۰۰۱۷۸۵'s prognostic potential.Others, such as circHMCU, circDNMT۱, circDENND۴C,circRNF۲۰, and circSKA۳, might be used as universaldiagnostic markers for BC because their expression is elevatedindependently of BC class. Likewise, because their expressionlevels are TNBC-specific, circAGFG۱ and circANKS۱B may behelpful to biomarkers in TNBC. Levels of circAGFG۱,circCDYL, and circANKS۱B were shown to be associated withhistological grade, TNM stage, and distant metastasis, suggesting that they might help in BC staging and grading.Surprisingly, none of the circ-RNAs listed here have yet to bestudied as potential liquid biopsy indicators. CircRNAs have apotential role as diagnostic/prognostic biomarkers in BC,according to our findings.
