چکیده مقاله:

One of the most commonly diagnosed cancers is gastric cancer (GC). It is thethird leading cause of cancer deaths in the world. One of the most importantcauses of GC is Helicobacter pylori infection and Epstein-Barr virusinfection (EBV). Early diagnosis of GC is inadequate and many patients withadvanced stages of GC are unable to benefit from treatment. it is still a bigchallenge to completely eliminate tumor cells via surgery, radiotherapies, and chemotherapies. CircRNAs are very valuable because of their distinctiverole in regulating gene expression and biological processes. Based on thegrowing evidence for the importance of circRNAs in human disease, circRNAs may serve as a diagnostic biomarker and a new therapeutic targetin the near future. These identified circRNAs are reduced or regulated duringcarcinogenesis and thus act as tumor suppressors or oncogenes in the GC,allowing circRNAs to become diagnostic biomarkers and prognosticpredictors. Despite the fact that the function and molecular mechanism ofcircRNAs remain unknown, recent studies show that circRNAs are vital inseveral types of disease and are expressed in several types of cancer withtissue and disease characteristics. At the time of writing, we do not knowanything about targeted therapy for circRNAs. Research should continueuntil biogenesis, regulatory functions, and molecular mechanisms areidentified pathologically and physiologically.
