Genetic differences in the incidence, prevalence, and complications ofcardiovascular disease are well documented. The cardiovascular diseaseexhibits complex genetic characteristics with phenotypes influenced bygenetic, hormonal, environmental, and cultural variables. The purpose of thispaper is to provide an overview of X and Y chromosomes (including genecontent, autosomal recessive regions, and X chromosome inactivation) incardiovascular disease. Relevant information was searched from PubMed,Scopus, Google Scholar databases; And data analysis was performedqualitatively.Sex differences in cardiovascular disease are caused by complex interactionsbetween genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. In addition toadrenergic transmitter synthesis, genetic variants in alpha and beta-adrenergicreceptors affect vascular tone. In women with non-obstructive coronary arterydisease, genetic variants in adrenergic receptors are associated with restinghemodynamics and an increased risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, andheart failure. Although many studies have attempted to gain insight into theetiology of various cardiovascular diseases through genetic analysis, mosthave ignored the underlying genetics of sex chromosomes, despite emergingtools for studying genetics. Have not performed classified sex analyzes.
