خلاصه مقاله:
In this paper, the effect of additives such as calcium carbonate or DnOP diethyl phthalate onthe flotability of PVC plastic products was investigated. Also, the results of flotability tests wereused to study the natural flotability of PVC plastic products. Examination of free energy ofplastics surface with polished and ordinary surfaces showed that the crushed or fragmentedparticles of these plastics in the flotability system also show the same surface properties ofplastics and additives have significant effects on free energy. The surface of PVC plasticproducts. The results of addition CaCO۳ include increasing the force of interaction between theplastic-water surface and decreasing the cohesive force between the plastic-bubble surface, andthese effects show that in general it reduces the flotability. DnOP reduces the force of interactionbetween plastic and water, increases the cohesive force between plastic and bubbles, and thusincreases the hydrophobicity of plastic and increases flotability. The flotability test on PVCplastics and PVC plastic waste confirms the above results, also the infrared spectrum showedthe effect of additives on two categories of plastic waste. These findings provide someflotability techniques regarding the type of plastic that can be used to recycle PVC plastic waste
