خلاصه مقاله:
The role of patriarchy in the depiction of war and its consequences for children and young adults has always been an issue of importance in children’s literature. Themes of post-war migration, homelessness, and sorrow are among the themes that should be treated cautiously when presented to a young audience, for a misrepresentation of these issues can have permeant psychological effects on children. Yet among the works of children literature, Nusret und die Kuh, and Shahr e bi Khatere are picture books that feature a journey in the mind of a child. A comparative study between Anja Tuckermann’s Nusret und die Kuh and Naser Yousefi’s Shahr e bi Khatere, which are written within a similar theme and framework, i.e. post-war migration and a return to hometown, provides the author with an opportunity to analyze the role of tone and diction in these works, which have been written in two different cultures, and evaluate the importance given to novel approaches to war and the use of humor and non-violent tones in portraying war for children in Iranian and world literature
