چکیده مقاله:

Background: As several countries face covid-۱۹, there are considerations that rates of suicide could increase. Many factors underpin these concerns, as well as a deterioration in population mental state, the next prevalence of reportable thoughts and behaviors of self-harm among individuals with covid-۱۹, issues accessing mental health services, and proof suggesting that previous epidemics akin to respiratory illness (۲۰۰۳) were related to an increase in deaths by suicide attempt.Material and Methods: Material and Methods: The present study was conducted by narrative review. To access the data, articles indexed in databases Science Direct, PubMed, Scopus, Google scholar, web of science, Embase, and Medline were used. Keywords including COVID-۱۹; SARS-CoV-۲; suicides event; suicide; were searched over ۲۰۱۹ to October ۲۰۲۱. According to the defined criteria, finally, ۲۶ Full-text articles were reviewed in this study.Result: The pandemic might not have an instantaneous impact on suicide rates, however, as long as it's doubtless to end in a confluence of risk factors for suicide and economic crisis, it is extremely possible that it'll result in will increase in suicide rates within the long run. Suicide tries are higher in urban areas than in rural areas, which is probably going to be a results of the redoubled stress caused by urban lifestyles. Results support Associate in nursing association between many COVID-۱۹-related experiences (i.e., general distress, concern of physical harm, effects of social distancing policies) and past-month unsafe intellection and suicide attempts. Further, a major proportion of these with recent suicidal ideation expressly links their suicidal thoughts to COVID-۱۹. Searching analyses highlight a possible further link between COVID-۱۹ and suicidal behavior, suggesting that a little of people could also be designedly exposing themselves to the virus with the intent to kill themselves. This result of exposure to distressing things on the rates of suicide and suicide try has been determined for world war one (۱۹۱۴–۱۹۱۸), word war two (۱۹۳۹–۱۹۴۵), and different natural disasters. Conclusions: The restricted analysis conducted to this point on suicide and its hindrance throughout COVID-۱۹ has focused totally on high-income countries. whereas complementary research during this space in low- and middle-income countries ought to be prioritized, the poor quality of routine mortality and hospital group action information further because the limited handiness of resources to hold out research in several of those settings gift terribly real challenges. In ۲۰۱۴ the WHO thought of that scarcely over third of member states had goodquality suicide registration information, and such data were for the most part absent in lowand middle-income countries (WHO, ۲۰۱۴).
