We aimed to examining the adherence to the DASH diet in related to depression, anxiety and stress in individuals who have recovered from COVID-۱۹.Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study ۱۲۰ individuals who had recovered from COVID-۱۹, who were >۳۰ years old were recruited. A valid and reliable food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) including ۶۸ items was used to evaluate dietary intake Depression, anxiety and stress of participants was evaluated using DASS questionnaire. Results: More intake of dietary fiber, magnesium, potassium, and component of DASH-diet style, including: fruit, vegetables, nuts, legume, seed and low fat dairy was observed in subjects with high adherence to DASH- dietary style (third tertile (T۳)). In multivariate multinomial logistic regression analysis, a high adherence to DASH- dietary style was associated with lower depression (OR= ۰.۸۶۳; ۹۵% CI: ۰.۷۴۱-۱.۰۰۶, p< ۰.۰۵), anxiety (OR= ۰.۸۶۷; ۹۵% CI: ۰.۷۵۹-۱.۰۱۱, p<۰.۰۵) and these associations remained significant after adjustments. Regarding stress score, a high adherence to DASH- dietary style was associated with lower stress after adjustment in the models used. Conclusion: Adherence to DASH- style diet may be associated with reduced depression, anxiety and stress in patients who have recovered from COVID-۱۹.
