Providing a model for locating sports companies using data envelopment analysis technique

In recent years, a lot of studies have been conducted in the field of location that one of the most important objectives is to create dispersion for greater efficiency. In the present study, in order to investigate and locate sports companies, the data envelopment analysis technique has been used.In order to implement the proposed framework, in the first step, the factors affecting the location of sports companies according to previous research and the opinion of experts in this field are identified in two input and output categories. After that, in order to locate the companies, the output-oriented model was used according to the selected inputs and outputs and the efficiency of six locations in the region was evaluated in ۲۰۲۰.Accordingly, the inputs of the data envelopment analysis method are: distance to educational, cultural and academic centers, distance to medical and health centers, distance to urban transportation network, distance to religious places, distance to residential areas, distance to public parking, distance to fire stations, distance to green space of the city, dimensions of land available for its expansion and development, price and value of land and covered population are also considered as outputs. In the next step, the data related to the input and output indices are collected and processed. Then the efficiency of selected locations was calculated and efficient and inefficient locations were separated. The results of implementing the data envelopment analysis method at this stage showed that three locations were efficient (their efficiency value was equal to ۱). This means that a sports company can be established in one of these three places.The results indicate that regarding the location of companies and sports uses, according to the size of the study area, it is better to first conduct initial screening based on general indicators such as its distance from important and practical places in the region and to remove areas without points. On the other hand, data envelopment analysis technique can be used in order to increase the accuracy and efficiency of decision making.
