چکیده مقاله:

The foot is very important as the base of support to a body and minor biomechanical changes in the base of support can affect lower limb function and postural control strategies. As a result, disorders in the foot can be one of the factors affecting the performance and postural control of individuals. Therefore, in this study, lower limb function and postural control in girls with different foot postures were compared. In this study, ۴۵ girls aged ۱۸ to ۲۵ years were purposefully divided into three groups with normal foot posture, flat foot posture and cavus foot posture. The foot posture was assessed through the Staheli Index test. Individuals with an index between ۰.۴۴ and ۰.۸۹ were considered as normal foot posture, above ۰.۸۹ as flat foot posture and below ۰.۴۴ as cavus foot posture. Balance error scoring system test was used to assess postural control and two tests of Triple hop for distance and Six-meter timed hop were used to measure lower limb function. Finally, for statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA and LSD post hoc test were used. The results of this study showed that there is a significant difference between the three groups in all factors. The cavus foot posture group was significantly weaker in postural control and lower limb function than the other two groups (p<۰.۰۵). The flat foot posture group also showed weaker postural control and lower limb function than the normal foot group (p<۰.۰۵).The results of this study showed that foot disorders, especially the cavus foot posture can negatively affect postural control and lower limb function, so it is recommended in the assessment of these people and also designing corrective exercise protocols, pay special attention to function and control postural.
