چکیده مقاله:

Menopause combined with inactivity increases the risk of risk factors such as obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, oxidative stress and persistent inflammation. Saffron as one of the common Iranian spices has many properties for health including antioxidant, anti-tumor, memory and learning enhancer, neuroprotective, analgesic and anti-inflammatory, anti-seizure, anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, anti-hypertensive, reduces blood lipids and the effect of reducing insulin resistance. HIIT includes recurrent high-intensity activity episodes that are associated with inactive or active recovery periods, and have been shown to cause positive inflammatory modulation in metabolic diseases associated with obese postmenopausal women. However, the purpose of the present study was the investigation interactive effect of saffron supplementation and high intensity interval training on antioxidant levels and lipid profile of obese women. The population of the present study consisted of obese menopausal women. After examining the criteria for accepting volunteers in the present study, ۳۲ people in ۵ groups, ۱) saffron, ۲) HIIT, ۳) saffron + HIIT, ۴) placebo and ۵) Placebo + HIIT for ۸ weeks underwent various interventions. To measure the levels of antioxidant enzymes and lipid profile, ۵ cc of blood should be taken from the brachial vein. The results of analysis of findings showed that the effect of time on the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione peroxidase, triglyceride (GPX(, HDL and LDL in the groups of saffron, saffron + HIIT and HIIT was significant (P≤ ۰.۰۵). The interactive effects of the group at the time showed a significant difference in the levels of catalase, glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase and triglyceride (P≤ ۰.۰۵).Based on the results, it can be said that using a combination of high-intensity interval training strategies with saffron supplementation can improve the lipid profile and antioxidant enzyme levels in obese or obese women.
