چکیده مقاله:

Over the past two decades, the use of amino acid supplements has been considered for progress in athletic performance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the response of plasma lactate to eight weeks of aerobic exercise training and supplementation of L-arginine.The present study was a semi-experimental study with pretest, posttest design and control groups. The statistical population was a population of ۳۰ non-active male volunteer students. And used supplements and placebo capsules daily for ۳ grams/day, they were randomly assigned into three groups of exercise and supplementation (n=۱۰), placebo (n=۱۰) and supplemented (n=۱۰). The training program consisted of eight weeks of aerobic training and three sessions/ week. Blood samples from the venous vein were taken one hour before the test (pre-test), and ۲۴ hours after the last session (post-test). One-way ANOVA and paired t-test were used for analyzing the data at a significant level of P≤۰ / ۰۵.Eight weeks of aerobic training had a significant decrease in lactate plasma levels (P≤۰.۰۵) Regarding the mean of the three groups in the post-test, the level of plasma lactate in the training and supplementation groups was significantly lower than the two groups of exercise and placebo and the supplementation of the L-arginine supplement. The use of L-arginine supplementation can be beneficial for athletes participating in the aerobic activity. And also the use of L-arginine supplementation can delay the anaerobic threshold and fatigue, and possibly the supplement of L-arginine may improve the athlete s performance in sports activities.
