A new model of parabolic collector using a two-mirror assisted black body- based system is presented. The sun rays are traced usingMATLAB code. The geometric situation of the mirrors, absorption of inner absorber layer of black body and the diameter of absorbertube were changed and their effect on the heat gain of the black body system is investigated. The finite volume method (FVM) as aCFD technique is applied to simulate the new presented model. The results are compared with LS-۲ test data as a classic paraboliccollector located at Sandia National Research Laboratory (SNRL).
