Produced DC energy in photovoltaic (PV) systemsare fed to the grid through power electronics converters. PVsystems are strategically placed near consumption points. Thispaper presents a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) powerconversion system based on a three-phase two level inverters. Atfirst, a simple switching strategy is presented to producereference output voltage waveforms based on Clark axisequations. This reference signal performs function of switchingfor power transformation from photovoltaic to three-phase load.Proposed system used a PFC converter to regulate DC voltage ofPV. The system has a capability of synchronized grid-connectionand exchanging of active and reactive power as well as powerfactor correction. Secondly, it can be used to supply portion ofthe required power of the load, which can regulate the amount ofinjected power to the grid. In addition, maximum power pointtracking (MPPT) is applied for optimal operation of PV. Thecontrol algorithm and operational principles of the proposedsystem are verified by simulation study in both stand-alone andgrid-connection modes of operation under several loadconditions.
