Evaluation of the beneficial effect of crocin against autism inflammatory factors by using molecular docking

چکیده مقاله:

Autism spectrum disorder (ASDs) is a multifactorial neurodevelopmental disorder. ASD is characterized by abnormal behaviour and impairments in social communication and interaction. Studies have shown that inflammation paly a role in the pathogenicity of ASD and inhibition of the inflammation factor can improve ASD symptoms. Crocin is a herb compound that regulates inflammation and oxidative stress. In this study, we used bioinformatics tools to investigate the beneficial effect of crocin on ASD inflammation. Based on molecular docking result crocin interact with ADS’ inflammation factors. The highest binding affinity is devoted to IL۴R and IL۱۲B with -۷.۸ kcal/mol and -۷.۵ kcal/mol binding energy. Our data show that crocin can inhibit ASD’s inflammation factor so, it may play a beneficial role against ASD’s symptoms.
