چکیده
Background: Hirsutism is a common finding among the women attending to the gynecology and dermatology clinics and it may be the sign relevant inside events, for example ovarian problems which induce over excretion of testosterone, this theory was the base of our study and total testosterone and ultrasonographic findings among normal menstrual and oligomenorrhic hirsute women were determined.Materials and methods: we found ۹۳ women who all were hirsute, their mean age ۳۲.۶ years and none of them more than ۴۵ years old or less than ۱۵. ۶۰% of them had regular menstruation and ۴۰% had irregular one. None of them were in medical therapy or have hypothyroidism, hyper prolactinemia or breast feeder. Results: Our data was analyzed by SPSS-۲۲ and results showed that the mean testosterone level between both groups were significant. (۰.۸۵۷۵ VS ۱.۵۲۷۶) (P=۰.۰۰۰). Ultrasonographic finding in irregular menstruation group was significant in subgroup of the number of follicles between ۲-۵ millimeter, in otherwise it was correlated to total testosterone (P=۰.۰۳).Conclusions: Finally, according to the results, it may be concluded that Ferriman-Gallwey scoring system may be used as a predictor in some subtypes among women with normal or oligomenorrhicکلیدواژه ها
