چکیده مقاله:

Limited water supply, development of industrial and agricultural uses due to populationgrowth has led to more attention to water resources as a valuable source of water supply.Undoubtedly, the optimal supply and utilization of this precious resource require expertmanagement familiar with the field of water resources engineering. Without immediatemeasures to manage and control the water resources of the river system and by usingonly traditional methods, abstractions will inevitably lead to further water shortage anddecrease of water quality that will affect all water users and waterside residents. Toachieve this goal, reviewing quantitative and qualitative monitoring plans and alsoidentifying their shortcomings can be of great help in improving the status of waterresources in the river. For this purpose, in this study, important qualitative andquantitative items in river development plans were briefly reviewed. Components ofwater quality management, needs and potentials of water resources, energy planningstudies, flood reduction studies, river transportation, comprehensive river basindevelopment plan and river management optimization model including economicevaluations were expressed. Considering the above items in river management reportswill help in integrated water resources management.
