Honeybee natural products against COVID-۱۹ main protease: an in silico study

The emerging pandemic of SARS-CoV-۲ has spread over the globe and taken millions of lives since ۲۰۱۹ [۱].The SARS-CoV-۲ main protease has a key role in proteolytic processing in coronaviruses and produces other vital proteins for viral replication [۲]. Honeybee natural products are rich in flavonoids/non-flavonoids and bear various biological activities such as anticancer, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral [۳].Thus, they may be the best candidates against COVID-۱۹ main protease. Herein, we have in silico tested existing natural compounds exist in honey bee pollen against SARS-CoV-۲ main protease via Autodock Vina.
