Synthesis of Co-Zr Layered Double Hydroxide and Studying its Electrochemical Function as Supercapacitor

چکیده مقاله:
Supercapacitor is a potential energy storage device that can supply high power at a short term of time. Some of LDHs (Layered double hydroxides) have been considered as promising active electrode materials for supercapacitor due to their layered structure and exible interlayer spacings. In this work, we employed a mechanochemical method for the synthesis of Co-Zr layered double hydroxide using cobalt and zirconium metal salts. LDHs are generally known with the formula of [M(II)۱-xM(III)x(OH)۲]x+ (An-)x/n· mH۲O, where it has M(II) and M(III) cations and An- inter-layer anion. The title LDH was characterized by XRD, FE-SEM and IR methods, and then CV, charging/discharging and extra analyzes were performed to evaluate the supercapacitor performance. The results showed that Co-Zr LDH had good performance as a supercapacitor electrode.
