خلاصه مقاله:
This study was carried out to measure Zn and Cu concentration in sediment distributed in intertidal zone of Sadra Island coasts along Persian Gulf. The studied area was Sadra Island coasts in north of Bushehr. One aspect of environmental degradation in coastal areas is pollution from heavy metals, which are persistent and are bioaccumulated by marine organisms, with serious public health implications. Mining and smelting, industrial and urban waste, wastewater discharges and shipping activity are the major anthropogenic sources of heavy metal .Our purpose was determination of the heavy metal variation trend from August 2009 to February 2010. The sediment samples were collected from 6 different station in the study area. The stations was determined based on the distance of pollution source (outlet Sadra's wastewater).Heavy metal concentrations were measured by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results show that the mean concentration of Zn and Cu in winter and summer season were 54.99, 60.13, 27.24,30,01 µg/g sediment, respectively. The heavy metal concentration in this study exceed of the world standard limit for sediment. The statistic analysis on data was one way of ANOVA and indicated that there exists significant difference among studied stations.
