The Investigation of Leading Factors in online learning during the pandemic COVID-۱۹ and the Attitudes of Students toward E-education: the cases of Iran and Indonesia

The coronavirus epidemic has brought about a change in many aspects of life, one of which is education. Due to the novelty of this event and its great impact on education, it is necessary to investigate this issue. This study aimed to investigate the factors affecting online education in two groups of Iranian and Indonesian learners. The second objective was to examine students views on online learning. To conduct the study, a ۳۰-item questionnaire was presented to each participant. Participants of this study consisted of two groups of Iranian and Indonesian students and the number of each group was approximately ۸۰. Factor analysis and multiple techniques were carried out. Findings of factor analysis indicated that nine factors had a significant impact on online learning for both Indonesian and Iranian students. The influential factors included ۱. Teacher Communicate with the student outside of class during internet activity, ۲. Advantages of online learning through internet activity, ۳. Written communication during online learning, ۴. Access to the internet is easy and communication electronically is comfortable. ۵. Communication with teachers is important. ۶. Learning in all situations (class, home, and internet) is the same.۷.Students have sufficient skills in using computers. ۸. Students motivated by the material during internet activity. ۹. Students are independent in doing homework. The findings of this study can be of help to teachers, researchers in the field of education, and teaching methods in online learning.
