Application of different geostatistical methods in the study of groundwater quality

چکیده

Increasing population growth in Iran has led to an increase in the exploitation of underground resources, so that in recent years these resources are at risk of pollution, reduction in quantity and quality. From the perspective of WHO standards, this study analyzes the concentration of hydro geochemical parameters and heavy metals As, Pb, Cr, Cd in Hashtgerd region. Due to the accuracy and effect of interpolation, a comparison has been made between IDW method with different powers and OK method with different models. Data uncertainties were examined, suggestions for improving groundwater quality and ways to control and prevent the continuation of pollution in the area are presented. The results of the research are as follows, in all areas, the concentration of EC, As, Pb, Cd and Cr parameters is higher than WHO standard. Due to the accuracy of evaluation and interpolation accuracy, IDW with power ۱ is considered as interpolation method for Cl, Mg, HCO_۳ and Pb. OK (exponential) for the parameters K, Ca, SO_۴ and Cr and OK (spherical) for the parameters Na, pH, TDS, EC, TH, As and Cd have the least error and the highest accuracy. PH, As and Pb are affected by intense human activity in the region and the natural factor has little effect on the concentration of these parameters in the region. Establishing a network for collecting municipal and industrial wastewater in order to prevent the entry of effluent into the aquatic ecosystem and setting up treatment plants in the region can improve the quality of groundwater in the region.
