چکیده مقاله:

Semiotics define as the study of the originating process of signs, their significations, and functions. Erwin Panofsky's multilayer semiology and his thoughts on the subject of signs are considered as one of the main philosophical foundations of this research. Muqarnas is a regulated structure in terms of geometric reproduction that follows the logic of an algorithm and parameter that engages the mind at first glance and evolves into a unified system in the formal view. Parametric architecture is another adaptive aspect of this research as an interdisciplinary tendency based on geometric principles, evolutionary and algorithmic growth of parameters in such a way that the required parameters of design generated under the language of an algorithm in a system. As a poststructuralist theorist, Erwin Panofsky has introduced a multi-layer reading theory for dealing with works of art through which the natural and philosophical sciences reveal their forms and meanings. The purpose of this article is to investigate the semantic level of parametric architecture and the Muqarnas element in Iranian architecture by adopting a multi-layered view of Erwin Panofsky.
