چکیده مقاله:
A ۷×۲ factorial experiment was conducted to examine the effects of early growth rate (x̄+۳SD, x̄+۲SD, x̄+۱SD, x̄, x̄-۱SD, x̄-۲SD and x̄-۳SD) and a fat soluble multi vitamincocktail (FSVC, ۰ and ۱.۲ ml/ bird/ injection) on hematological variables and to explain their share in the intra-flock variance of performance indices using ۳۶۲ male Ross ۳۰۸ broiler chicks. Body weight (BW) at marketing age was differed among the birds in the same pattern as their BW at age of ۲۱ d. The birds receiving a FSVC gained greater body weight, consumed more feed and utilized the feed with a greater efficiency than the untreated birds. Heart percentage was significantly lesser in the birds with initial body weight close to the population mean compared with the birds having a lesser or a greater BW than the population mean. FSVC increased heart weight by ۲۰.۴۸ percent and decreased plateletcrit (PCT) by ۳۳.۳ percent. It was concluded that birds with an early growth rate of x̄-۳SD cannot exhibit greater growth performance in later ages probably due to intrinsic limitations.
