چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Silybum marianum ailability of dhesions. The bioavabdominal a-wort that shows protective effects against intra۵۰%, so new methods need to be -evels vary between ۲۰silymarin is relatively low and its uptake lpropo of this study was to prepare and evaluate the effect bioavailability. The aimsed to improve its ingof slow implant contain Silybum marianum extract on intra-abdominal adhesion. In Methods: resent experimental study, ۴ types of implants including crossthe p--implant, cross linked chitosanhitosan implant withlinked c β-GP, crosslinked chitosan implant containing-non Silybum marianum linked chitosan implant with-extract and cross β-GP containing Silybum marianum extract were prepared. Structural properties, thickness and inflatability, pH, disintegration time, n strength and release of the extract were determinedadhesio in vitro. For in vivoevaluation, ۴۸rats into ۶ groups of ۸were divided ding surgical groupinclu (without intervention), heparin group and receiving ۴ types of implantsgroups . ۱۴ t of adhesions in thedays later, the amoun rats was determined and graded. Data were analyzed by SPSS. Results: SEM linked -study showed that crossts withimplan β-GP had less porosity than non-implantscrosslinked . FT-IR -also confirmed crosslinking of chitosan with β-GP. Theprepared implants had apH within the limits of normal tissue, adhesion and inflatability, ked implantscrosslin-and good disintegration time. In non the extract n in crosslinked implants. Treatment ofrelease was faster tha rats undergoing laparotomy with heparin significantly reduced the total number of adhesion bands, the number of vascular adhesion bands and pared to the surgical groupsion comthe severity of adhe (p <۰.۰۵). nt ofTreatme rats undergoing laparotomy with crosslinked implants containing the extract-non, caused a significant reduction in the number of vascularadhesion bands compared to the surgical group (p <۰.۰۵) but not a inked implants containing the extract did not significant effect on other parameters. Crossldiffer significantly from the surgical group, despite the reduction in the total number of adhesive nd the severity of adhesionsssels, abands, the number of adhesive bands with and without ve. Crosslinked chitosan implants containingConclusion: Silybum marianum -extract caused longabdominal adhesion, which was -term release of the extract but had little positive effect on intraneeded to increase the dose of the xtract and further studies areof the eprobably due to the low dose extract in the implant.
