چکیده

Vitamin C is a major antioxidant in the brain and has been reported to have several functions, including inhibiting reactive oxygen species and modulating neurons, and is involved in angiogenesis. Studies have shown that high doses of vitamins E and C may reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease and improve passive avoidance learning and memory. Due to the fact that memory loss is a symptom of Parkinson's disease, the present study was performedto investigate the protective effects of vitamin C on the electrical activity of hippocampal pyramidal neurons in Parkinson-like mice. Male Wistar rats in ۷ groups of ۸ control (saline), rotenone in the amount of ۲ mg/kg, solvent rotenone, rotenone + vitamin C in the amount of ۲.۵ mg/kg/۷days, rotenone + sodium benzoate in the amount of ۱۰۰ mg/kg/۷days, rotenone + sodium benzoate + vitamin C were divided. To induce Parkinson's, rats received rotenone (۲mg/kg) intraperitoneally every ۴۸ hours for ۱۹ days. Finally, behavioral tests and histological confirmation were used to assess Parkinson's symptoms. A single-unit recording method was used to evaluate the spontaneous activity of pyramidal neurons in the CA۱ region of the hippocampus. The results showed that rotenone caused a sharp increase in the frequency of pyramidal neurons in the hippocampus. While injection of vitamin C alone did not have a positive effect but had a significant effect on the spontaneous frequency of pyramidal neurons, the use of sodium benzoate alone and the combined use of vitamin C and sodium benzoate after Parkinson's induction by rotenone modulated activity. Spontaneous pyramidal neurons became CA۱ (P < ۰.۰۱). The results of this studyshowed that rotenone significantly reduced memory by simulating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, while the use of vitamin C withsodium benzoate after Parkinson's induction at least partially improved the spontaneous activity of pyramidal neurons in the CA۱ region and thus improved Memory impairment is caused by Parkinson's disease.
