Symbols and signs have been an integral part of the architecture and urbanization of human civilizations around the world, and their human ideas and ideologies have beenexpressed in forms and concepts in their structures. Symbolism and signs were also prominent features of ancient Iranian architecture and urbanism. These symbols andsigns, in addition to having an organizational role among the components and elements in each set, were the spiritual link of the spaces with its users and the human being'sguidance to God (the Islamic dimension) .Sari houses in the Qajar era are one of the most outstanding examples of Iranian architecture in terms of their use in interior and exterior façade ornamentation. Studying its dimensions can lead to a better understanding of Mazandaran architecture, and of course, Iran in the Qajar period. Descriptive andanalytical method of symbols and signs in Iranian - Mazandaran ancient architecture in a house called "Fazeli House" are used and case study research is extracted using libraryand survey documents and its role and function in the present time will be examined. Field studies will also examine the ornamentation of Sari Fazeli House in the form of onsite presence, direct observation, photography of existing decorations, and reports from restoration specialists. Accordingly, in this paper, the concept of symbols and symbols in the Qajar era is examined, and the use of symbols and symbols in architecture examines the ornamentation features of the inner courtyard wall.
