چکیده مقاله:

Related literature has shown that COVID-۱۹ impacted every aspect of human life especially the hope of housewives because of facing special challenges of problems during the pandemic outbreak. On the other hand, Mindfulness is associated with various psychological factors and can prevent emotional distress. This study aimed to test associations between personality types with mindfulness and hope in difficult time of Covid-۱۹ outbreak. A total of ۳۱۸ housewives (median age=۴۱) chosen by convenience sampling method from Tehran completed an online self-reported questionnaires from December ۲rd to ۲۵th, ۲۰۲۰, the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), the Adult Hope Scale (AHS) and Horney–Coolidge Type Inventory (HCTI). It was hypothesized that the FFMQ, AHS with HCTI would correlate in predictable ways. The result of Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there was a significant positive correlation between Complaint Horney Personality Type with Mindfulness (p<۰.۰۱). Also, asignificant positive relationship was found between Complaint personality type with hope (p<۰.۰۱). Our findings advance the literature by demonstrating the importance of different neurotic personality types on mindfulness and hope.
