Persian garden is known as one of the most successful gardens in the world. However, some consider it as a cultural garden and prefer to call it only a Persian garden rather than an Islamic garden. Others have described the Persian garden as a paradise described in religious sources. Accordingly, this paper aims to review the Persian garden through a library method and content analysis to present a correct definition of this garden. Finally, it shows that the garden is designed based on Islamic principles adapted with the Iranian cultural values and can be named an Islamic garden.
