A Simple Algorithm to Analyze Pile Raft Through Considering Stress Distribution

Numerous techniques have been presented by different researchers to analyze pile raft. In order to analyze pile foundation, soil can be modeled as spring, continuousmedium or porous media and also pile can be modeled as spring or continuous medium. This paper begins with a short description of different types of analysismethods of pile foundation. Then a computer program based on the finite element method (FEM) will be presented to analyze pile raft in which foundation is modeled asa flexible plane and soil, pile are modeled by Winkler springs. The program error with regards to all four types of interaction factors (pile-pile, pile-soil, soil-pile and soilsoil) is negligible compared with FEM and by contrast has a notable speed.
