To do so, the researcher investigates the whole story which revolves around the relationship between John and nature and it concentrates on the significance of horses in this essay. There are different aspects that are studied I this essay including social, cultural, and spiritual ecology. In ecocriticism, the otherness of nature is one of the main themes which signifies the gap between humanity and nature which eventually results into the destruction of the environment and nature. In this essay how John and nature, and also how John and Alejandra are linked in the novel is shown. Most of the novel depicts the image of John wandering in nature and searching for his own identity while others are ignoring him. Both women and nature share with each other and they are under domination of men and humanity. In fact, John wants to own and dominate both of them but he is punished. Consequently, the researcher investigates the link between John, nature and Alejandra.
