چکیده مقاله:

This article reviews the theory and applications of ant algorithms. Besides, a new method of discrete optimization technique is used based on the simulation of self-organized colony of biologic ants. The colony can be regarded as a multi-agent system, where each agent is functioning independently by a simple rule. Unlike the nearly primitive behavior of the agents, the behavior of the whole system got to be amazingly reasonable. Fracture modeling is employed here to increase the reliability of the static reservoir model. Since, naturally fractured reservoirs usually are heterogeneous and anisotropic; the characterization of fracture and fault is a problematical task. When encountering gas effects or salt bodies, the problem is more severe, which are common in the Iranian reservoir. The proposed methodology in this case study is presented with an application to field information of a carbonate gas reservoir located in the Persian Gulf area, south of Iran. This research article demonstrates how to overcome these issues and interpret faults and fractures based on utilizing an Ants tracking algorithm. The validity of the obtained results of this technique is checked and compared with image log data. The results indicate that utilizing the Ants tracking technique on the acquired edge models enables us to enhance the interpretation's quality and precision by considering available evidence of the previous information.
